Client Services Representative

Akaza Research is looking for a smart, meticulous individual to serve as a Client Services Representative for our OpenClinica open source clinical trials software platform, OpenClinica (www.openclinica.org). Akaza Client Services Representatives work under the supervision of one or more Account Managers to deliver Akaza’s OpenClinica Enterprise solution to clients. This position includes the following key duties:

  • Delivering a significant amount of OpenClinica end user training courses (both at our offices and at client sites domestically and internationally)
  • Plan and develop training and other support materials
  • Provide on-call support and troubleshooting to end users
  • Perform clinical study and case report form setup in OpenClinica software
  • Supplement quality assurance testing of OpenClinica

Required skills:

  • Strong computer literacy, including understanding of concepts related to modern, web-based applications (such as XML, HTML, servers, databases, etc.)
  • High quality and precise communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to organize and conduct training presentations to groups of up to 20 people
  • Ability to relate well with others and build relationships while in a support capacity
  • Ability and desire to provide responsive service to clients

Background & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university or working toward degree.
  • Interest in and understanding of open source software
  • Demonstrated experience in providing highly responsive service that meet extremely high standards of quality.
  • (Desirable, but not required) Experience in working in the clinical research field, as research coordinator (or similar position), or training/supporting other clinical research software systems (EDC, CDM, CTMS).

Job Location:

This is a full time position based in our Waltham, Massachusetts office, and requires moderate to heavy travel (roughly two times per month) including some international travel. (Note: our office is currently in the Kendall Square area of Cambridge and will be moving to Waltham in September)

Compensation:

Compensation includes base salary with bonus and comprehensive benefits: 401k plan with matching, stock compensation plan, section 125 plan, FSA, health and dental insurance.
