Account Manager/Analyst

Account Manager/Analyst Overview

The Account Manager is responsible for developing and servicing client relationships and supporting the implementation and operation of OpenClinica Enterprise at client sites. The ideal individual will have a background in both consulting/project management/clinical research, and delivered some type of training course at client sites.

General Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position are varied, and include:

  • Be communicative and responsive to all client requests (always follow up within 24 hours)
  • Manage project team’s understanding of what needs to be delivered and their ability to deliver
  • Anticipate and proactively manage areas of project risk (scope, budget, people, quality, timeline, resources, communications)
  • Ensure project deliverables are delivered satisfactorily and on-time
  • Manage and follow through to meet or exceed client expectations
  • Anticipate and proactively pursue additional business opportunities for existing accounts
  • Provide weekly status report to supervisor for all projects
  • The Account Manager may be required to deliver client services (particularly training, user support, protocol and CRF implementation) in many cases.
  • Conduct product presentations/demonstrations
  • Assist Akaza Sales Leads in communicating with prospective clients and drafting of proposals
  • Support OpenClinica open source community
  • Communicate feedback from clients and prospects back to managers and development team:
    • Product requirements
    • Account Management methodologies – current strengths & weaknesses, ways to improve
  • Produce monthly summary of recommendations to senior management of product, account management, and sales strategy recommendations
  • Participate when requested in product development and design meetings

Desired skills and experience:

  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Capacity for complex critical analysis
  • Ability to learn and assimilate new information in situations where only limited standardization or formal knowledge exists
  • Ability to interpret and act upon a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to communicate to technical and non-technical engineering and medical audiences
  • Communicate well in writing and orally with others,
  • Demonstrated client relationship, project management and communication skills
  • Familiarity with data management in clinical trials
  • Data systems validation experience, SOP development, Medical terminology knowledge, and knowledge of GCP/ICH/HIPPA guidelines & 21 CFR Part 11 a major plus

Job Location:

This position is for a full-time employee at our office in Kendall Square, Cambridge. We are conveniently located near the Kendall Square T stop on the Red Line. No recruiting agencies please.
