caBIG Support Services

Akaza Research has been licensed by the NCI's caBIG® program as an official caBIG® Support Service Provider in the areas of Deployment Support for caBIG® Software Applications and Training Materials and Services.

Please contact us if you are interested in services listed below for the caBIG® CTMS bundle or for deployments of individual caBIG applications:

Deployment Support for caBIG® Software Applications:

  • Onsite and offsite procurement and provisioning of hardware, operating systems and other software, such as application servers and databases
  • Installation and configuration of caBIG® software, including Grid enablement
  • Maintenance of web server/database application, including routine administrative IT tasks, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and application of system patches/upgrades
  • Integration of caBIG® tools and caBIG® compatible applications through open application programming interfaces (APIs).
  • Hosting
  • Integration into existing clinical processes and procedures, and support for system validation according to FDA Good Clinical Practice and regulatory requirements imposed by Federal, state and local governments.

The caBIG® initiative is an ambitious and innovative project of the NIH’s National Cancer Institute to develop an open source, open access information network that connects the cancer research community and enables the sharing of tools and data through a common, standards-based electronic infrastructure.

Akaza Research has been a participant in caBIG® since 2005. The company is active in caBIG’s CTMS (Clinical Trials Management Systems) Workspace and has helped to develop several of the caBIG CTMS software applications, including Patient Study Calendar and the Cancer Adverse Event Reporting System (caAERS).
